An extraordinary Edwardian necklace set with diamonds and pearls. It's pristine, all original, dripping with diamonds, and heart-wrenchingly beautiful. A single pear shape drop home to a 2 carat antique pear cut diamond with a halo of old Euros around it, dangling freely from a row of 19 graduated diamonds in millegrain bezel settings (total diamond weight: 7.81ct approx.). Dating from the early 20th century (circa 1910) it perfectly showcases Edwardian design and high craftsmanship by using finely worked platinum (much stronger than gold or silver) to create wonderfully intricate settings, links, and galleries. The chain features 14 natural pearls set between miniature trombone bar links. Quite exceptional, through and through.
